I've been looking for a vegan coat that fits well and has style for a long time. This coat. A DREAM! It has a million pockets (I'm exaggerating but seriously, there are a lot), a fake-fur hood that closes around you so only your eyes peek through to block out satan's windchill, the colors are stunning (I got the black with the burnt orange interior), and it has knit cuffs with THUMB HOLES! Seriously.
When I pulled it out of the box I commented out loud (to no one) how heavy and thick it was. Which was surprising to me since you really never know what you're going to get off Amazon unless you've seen it in real life and decided later to buy it.
I'm 5'4" 138lbs. and I wear a size small. Being a wisconsinite I've had my fair share of coats and have learned because I wear sweaters with layers underneath and have broad shoulders I need to go up two sizes. So I left it up to fate and ordered a large. At first it was a little big, but once I pulled the elastic waistband it fit amazingly. It's also long, knee length on my short stature, but it doesn't look like I'm a child in her mother's jacket. It actually looks great. And when I sit a good amount of it goes under my bum so when it gets too cold to bike or ride my scooter it is going to block the cold metal of the bus stop bench.
I'm at the point where I'm not fearing below zero anymore, because for the first time in almost 10 years I have a coat that will stand up to the weather.
Did I mention it also has reflective material scattered throughout so you don't get hit by cars. BONUS!
