PRODUCTS & PERFORMANCE

Yes. Alpine North jackets are designed for real winter conditions. Our winter coats are rated to -22°F (-30°C) and built with insulated construction to keep you warm in harsh cold weather.

Cold is relative, so the right choice is the one that keeps you most comfortable. If you’re the “always cold” type or just love to stay extra warm, we’ve got you covered. Our winter jackets are designed to be very warm, whether you’re in the depths of winter or going through a cold snap.

If your winters are less harsh, a lighter insulated jacket with room for layering can still provide excellent warmth and protection from the elements. For added versatility, you can also pair an Alpine North shell with an Alpine North insulated jacket for an easy layering system.

Yes. Alpine North jackets are water resistant and treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish to help shed light moisture and snow. For the best match, check the product page for fabric details and weather protection.

We use a fibrous recycled polyester insulation designed to mimic the warmth and loft of down. It’s highly insulating, cruelty-free, and continues to provide warmth even when wet, unlike traditional down.

Fit & Sizing

Yes. Alpine North jackets generally fit true to size, though some styles can run slightly large to allow room for layering. If you prefer a more fitted look, you may want to size down.

Yes. We offer a full line of plus size styles designed with plus size fit in mind, not just sized-up versions of our standard cuts.

A winter jacket should feel comfortable with room for layering, without feeling bulky or restrictive.

A good fit means:

  • You can zip it fully without tightness in the chest
  • You can raise your arms without the jacket pulling up too much
  • There’s enough space for a sweater or hoodie underneath
  • The shoulders sit comfortably without squeezing or sagging

If you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing based on how you plan to layer.

Yes. You can find a size chart on the product page for each style to help you choose the best fit.

Yes. Alpine North products are made using recycled fabrics, and we continue working to increase recycled content across our collections. Our jackets use GRS certified recycled fabrics and insulation.

GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard. It is a third-party certification that verifies recycled content and helps ensure responsible processing and traceability in the supply chain.

Alpine North focuses on responsible materials and long-lasting design, which are key parts of sustainability. We use recycled fabrics across our collections, many with GRS certification, and design jackets and essentials to last for years instead of seasons. We also avoid animal-derived materials and support environmental initiatives as part of our ongoing commitment to better practices.

Care

Alpine North jackets can be machine washed and hang dried. We do not recommend using a dryer or dry cleaning.

For best results, clean only when needed to avoid overwashing. Remove the (synthetic) fur trim before washing, and always follow the care label inside your jacket.
